The AED Sales Consultant is responsible for converting inbound AED inquiries to customers and maximizing the sale opportunity through needs based selling, as well as outbound activities to drive sales results such as following up on open quotes, converting backorders and expiring parts/AED warranties, among others.  The primary objective is to sell AEDs and related products and services to the customer, while building a trusting relationship to encourage a lasting partnership and committed customer.  This position will understand customer needs, educate and influence using strong product and solution knowledge and the desire to live our vision of making it possible for anyone to save a life.

Position Expectations

  • Achieve sales goals/quota.
  • Enthusiastically receive all inbound AED inquiries from potential or existing customers.  Understand their reason for calling, identify sales opportunities and educate and influence the customer to maximize the sales opportunity.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities to follow up on open leads, backorder conversion opportunities, or any other lead sources provided.
  • Create value around our full suite of offerings to include all products, solutions (such as program management and medical direction), and training to drive sales and increase loyalty and retention.
  • Listen carefully to the customer and be cognizant of barriers to the sale and recognize when to drive the primary sales opportunity and follow up with additional opportunities as they arise.
  • Manage the sales process by thoroughly understanding decision makers, actions and timelines necessary to close deals.
  • Closely collaborate with management on opportunities that are especially large, encounter obstacles or other challenges. 
  • Complete all administrative activities necessary to close the sale such as quote creation, order placing, accepting payment or arranging credit terms, etc.
  • Actively manage and follow up on open opportunities from all lead sources.  
  • Utilize SalesForce / CRM to document, in a timely and accurate manner, all contact details, activity, follow up activity and anything else as requested by management.
  • Prepare and provide information for management such as sales opportunities, customer/prospect information, wins/losses, etc as requested. 
  • Develop and maintain expert-level product knowledge, to include, and an understanding around regulations associated with AEDs.
  • Identify industry trends and relevant competitive information, providing feedback and input to the company.
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer contracts and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Any other tasks necessary to achieve individual and/or organizational success or as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  Must be accompanied by at least 2 years of experience selling AEDs and related products.  Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of high touch customer engagement / lead generation (inside sales and prospecting) or related sales experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel and/or Google Suite and ability to quickly and easily learn technology/software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales/account management and demonstrated success achieving sales goals (expansion and new business).
  • Previous experience with SalesForce or similar CRM preferred.
