Allied 100 is seeking a Marketing Product Manager to join our growing team!  As the workplace safety and community health experts, Allied 100 provides the tools and resources to enable life saving measures in the community.  Serving both the general marketplace through AEDSuperstore.com as well as large enterprise through Allied 100, we are the leading distributor of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and related medical products.  


The Product Manager, PPE & TEP is the category "owner" of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Training & Education Products (TEP) at Allied 100, driving category definition, vision, strategy, and roadmap for these products and services.  This position is accountable for delivering innovative and differentiated solutions to meet customer/market demands and achieve financial targets. This position is also responsible for clear positioning of these categories, both as stand alone offerings and as a complement to the rest of the Allied portfolio and participates in pricing strategy.

 As a leader and a "doer", this position develops and executes strategies, initiatives and programs that drive profitable growth and achieve financial targets, and enabling the company to deliver on our vision as the workplace safety and community health experts.

What You'll Do

  • Be the category expert. Develop and implement an effective strategy and execution plan for optimum category performance, based on a complete understanding of the market in general and customer needs, both existing and potential. Translate vision and strategy into explicit plans and action.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant markets. Learn and understand customer needs across various segments and keep abreast of our competition and category trends. Seek out gaps, anticipate opportunities and deliver differentiated and innovative solutions.
  • Drive the execution of all life cycle processes for category products and services, including product/service research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, road map development, requirements development, and product launch.
  • Collaboratively with the VP of Marketing, develop financial goals and objectives in alignment with the broader business budget.
  • Utilizing in depth understanding of our business and the market, and working closely with the VP of Marketing and members of the leadership team, develop and execute pricing and positioning strategies to achieve financial targets (revenue and gross profit) and market domination.
  • Deliver and execute marketing communication plans, internally and externally related to relevant categories, including but not limited to introducing product/service releases or enhancements, product descriptions and product/service positioning and sales strategies.
  • Develop and deliver internal training on category related products and services to ensure a high level of product and industry knowledge, enabling employees to have meaningful conversations with existing and potential customers and maximize sales and service opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain exceptional working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as leaders in supply chain, strategic initiatives, and sales, among others, to achieve cross-functional and overall company results.
  • Along with relevant internal stakeholders, build and maintain strong and effective vendor and partner relationships and maximize the potential of the relationships.
  • Provide ongoing trend analysis (business performance and drivers) to seize value-creating opportunities as well as take corrective action as necessary.
  • Regularly report and analyze category performance, forecasts and other key performance metrics and make recommendations to adjust as necessary to achieve budget and market results.
  • Understand and manage within industry related compliance requirements.

 
Experience We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in product marketing, product management and/or product planning.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing a profitable product/category strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a non-manufacturing distribution environment, with experience managing a product category preferred.
  • Marketing experience in a healthcare related industry preferred.
